Clarify what will be removed

List the flooring layers, baseboards, thresholds and other components included in the scope. Ask about debris handling and protection for the surfaces that will remain. Older or unknown materials may need assessment before disturbance rather than an assumption that ordinary removal methods are appropriate.

Plan household access

Discuss room sequence, pets, furniture and safe routes around the work. Know whether appliances or plumbing fixtures need separate arrangements. Temporary inconvenience is easier to manage when the schedule identifies which areas will be unavailable and for approximately how long.

Leave room for inspection

Once the old surface is removed, the installer can assess the exposed substrate. Agree on how unexpected conditions will be documented and approved. Treat removal as a stage that informs the installation plan instead of assuming the new material can go down immediately.

Plan your next step

Bring your room measurements, a few photos and your preferred materials to the conversation. Unique Custom Floors can help you compare flooring and plan your purchase in Tampa Bay. Confirm installation scope and availability, product requirements and delivery details for your specific address before scheduling the work.
