Keep the identification together
Save carton labels and record the manufacturer, collection, color and lot information. Store a copy of the receipt and installation guide with the project files. A photo of the room alone may not be enough to locate a matching product later.
Store material appropriately
Follow the product’s storage instructions and keep spare pieces protected from damage and unsuitable conditions. Do not assume a garage or outdoor storage area is appropriate simply because it has available space. Ask the installer for practical guidance for the selected material.
Discuss repair options in advance
Ask how localized damage would be evaluated and whether individual pieces can be replaced. Matching appearance may involve more than finding a board of the same size. Planning a reserve gives a future repair professional better options without promising that every repair will be invisible.
Plan your next step
Bring your room measurements, a few photos and your preferred materials to the conversation. Unique Custom Floors can help you compare flooring and plan your purchase in Tampa Bay.
