Map every change in surface

Walk through the project and list each doorway, stair edge and connection to another material. Note differences in height as well as color. A transition needs to suit the installation system and the adjacent surfaces, not merely resemble the new floor.

Confirm the actual matching pieces

Ask which profiles exist for your collection and whether they are available now. Some accessories coordinate rather than match perfectly. View samples or finish references together so that a small but visible difference does not become a surprise at the end of installation.

Discuss the installation detail

The installer should confirm clearances, attachment methods and compatibility with a floating or bonded floor. Avoid choosing trim solely from a photograph. A modest amount of planning at the ordering stage can produce a much more coherent result around the entire room.

Plan your next step

Bring your room measurements, a few photos and your preferred materials to the conversation. Unique Custom Floors can help you compare flooring and plan your purchase in Tampa Bay. Confirm installation scope and availability, product requirements and delivery details for your specific address before scheduling the work.
