Ask what the product requires
Different flooring and adhesive systems can call for different evaluations. The installer should identify the applicable requirements and explain how the project will meet them. A generic statement that a room is dry does not show that the specified conditions have been checked.
Record conditions, not guesses
Request documentation of the relevant measurements and observations. If there is an active leak or unresolved moisture issue, clarify the next steps before covering the surface. New flooring should not be treated as a way to conceal an underlying condition.
Coordinate the complete system
If treatment is needed, discuss compatibility with the substrate, adhesive and flooring. Keep those records with the purchase documents. A clear plan supports better decisions about timing and material selection without relying on broad promises about a product’s water resistance.
Plan your next step
Bring your room measurements, a few photos and your preferred materials to the conversation. Unique Custom Floors can help you compare flooring and plan your purchase in Tampa Bay. Confirm installation scope and availability, product requirements and delivery details for your specific address before scheduling the work.
