Choose for the actual surface
A wall tile is not automatically suitable for a floor, and a floor tile is not automatically appropriate for every wet or exterior location. Read the specifications for the exact product. Ask about surface characteristics, cleaning and intended exposure for the area you are planning.
Look at size and layout together
Tile dimensions influence the layout, cuts and how adjacent rooms connect. Review the floor plan with the installer before buying. Larger formats can make small layout decisions more noticeable, especially at doorways and narrow walls where cut pieces become part of the design.
Include the supporting installation
Mortar, grout, substrate preparation and movement accommodation are part of the finished system. Discuss those choices as deliberately as the visible tile. A beautiful surface is only one part of a tile purchase that will work well for your home.
Plan your next step
Bring your room measurements, a few photos and your preferred materials to the conversation. Unique Custom Floors can help you compare flooring and plan your purchase in Tampa Bay. Confirm installation scope and availability, product requirements and delivery details for your specific address before scheduling the work.
